Years Teaching-3

Years working in Education-6

This is my first year at ACVS.  I am looking forward to a wonderful experience engaging with students and in the process creating relationships and learning as we go.  Teaching is my second career.

After 20 plus years in the architectural world, designing custom housing and providing space planning and staging services, my husband and I adopted our son, Ethan from China.  Ethan has Special Needs and I chose to stay home to assist and nurture him.  (and love on him a lot!)  When Ethan started school I got a job working at the school and before I knew it I enrolled in the ABCTE Program to obtain my Teaching certificate.

I previously taught at Iowa Elementary in Nampa, ID.  For 3 years I have taught the Structured Learning Classroom for Students with Autism.  I have thoroughly enjoyed my time in the classroom with my students and their families.  I look forward to continuing and sharing my love for learning here at ACVS.

When I am not teaching I love family time with my husband and son.  We enjoy camping, BSU Football and Basketball and Hawks Baseball.  I enjoy time with friends and, reading, traveling and gardening.
